I'm entirely enamored with the illustrations of
Amei Zhao at the moment. Heartfelt and textured, dense and thematic, her ability to tell abstract but emphatic stories in deceptively simple drawings is gorgeous. She's a heartbreaker and a heartfixer all in one. You can check out her stuff
