- Your week in trailers: Comic Con was this week so we have A MILLION awesome-looking things. The Ash Vs. The Evil Dead series has totally got me hooked. Suicide Squad looks terrific and another total vehicle for Margot Robbie. The new Vixen series also looks terrific. I hate to say it too, but I think I'll be watching the new Heroes series again (despite how bad the original got in the end). On a totally different tone, Brooklyn looks lovely, as does Joy. I'm also ridiculously excited for this documentary on Floyd Norman, the first African American animator at Disney.

- Hayao Miyazaki is making a computer animated short film! I can't wait to see it.

- How cool are these illustrations of the Scooby Doo cast through the ages? I think the 1920s look might be my favourite!

- This infographic of fictional highschools is amazing too!

- I know it'll probably be awful, but I can't help but be excited for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Regency ladies! Monster slaying! It's basically covering my bases.

- Our first look at Princess Leia in The Force Awakens! Be still my beating heart!

Oh, man. I was sick this week and spent two days watching the entire series' of In the Flesh, an amazing BBC3 zombie drama series. It was such a beautifully taut and emotive show that played with stigmas on sexuality and explored discrimination in such a compelling way. Highly recommend!

Anywho, your regular Friday Finds.
- Your week in trailers: Game of Thrones season 5! The first Daredevil trailer!! I love Madame Bovary, so this adaptation with Mia Wasikowska and Ezra Miller are hitting my buttons. Angelica looks really interesting. Amira and Sam and Kumiko the Treasure Hunter both look straight up delightful.

This piece on the evolution of the artist over time and the current iteration of them is really fascinating and poses a lot of questions about craft, creativity and audience.

Well this is basically the best thing I've seen all week.

- On a related note, I know not everyone's a fan, but I'm pretty stoked on the fact that Pottermore is adding so richly to the content of the Harry Potter books, and not just telling us things we already know, or focusing more on the protagonists. This song by Celestina Warbeck is pretty much a delight.

- The trailer for Studio Ghibli's new film, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya is pretty divine.

That one kicks off next Wednesday. Next weekend, I'll also be teaching Blogging & Author Platforms at Sunnybank Hills Library. Both are shaping up to be pretty fun and educational courses, so check them out if you're a local!
