I go on and off poetry, but this one's been doing the rounds for a while and it really is pretty wonderful. It captures compelling narrative about womanhood and feminism and body without ever seeming contrived and cliche. It's a pretty great piece of writing. You are a woman. Skin and bones. Veins and nerves. Hair and sweat.
You are not made of metaphors. Not apologies. Not excuses.
